Call For Application: Cayuga Collection Storyteller In Residence Program

Do your best creative work in the most incredible places on the planet and contribute to the conversation on sustainable travel.

The recently launched “Storyteller in Residence” Program at the Cayuga Collection of sustainable hotels and lodges is seeking applications for digital creators residencies taking place in October and November 2016. This includes a stay at The Long Run GER® Lapa Rios, a proud member of The Cayuga Collection.

For a duration of 8 to 25 days, creators from a wide range of disciplines including journalists, photographers, and videographers are being invited to stay at the Cayuga Collection, and tell “the story” of their sustainable experience. Residency may take place in remote rainforest areas and small coastal communities. To minimize the impact and carbon footprint in these communities, residencies are limited.

The “Storyteller in Residence” program is a partnership of the Cayuga Collection and Coffee Abroad.  The program was mooted after Coffee Abroad’s Kim Bagayawa and Mike Dell stay at Lapa Rios, where they created five videos about their green honeymoon. They started Storyteller in Residence to help creators connect their professional work to the sustainability movement.

“When we saw their enthusiasm for sustainable travel and their curiosity about our work, we realized that there are others out there who genuinely believe in sustainability as much as we do — and who approach it from a completely different perspective,” says Hans Pfister of Cayuga Collection
