Takims Holidays
Destination Management Company
member since OCTOBER 2026
With more than 75 years of continuous operation, Takims Holidays integrates environmental care, community benefit and economic responsibility into its services. Three generations of Tanzanian experience sit behind the business, and the Directors remain involved in every aspect of day-to-day operations. They describe this as their passion and their greatest strength.
Their philosophy is that “Experience is Everything.” Sustainability and authenticity guide every part of how Takims operates.
Takims is one of only two operators offering access to Southern Tanzania, an untouched and highly exclusive region. They are actively protecting its nature and its people.
Sustainability is already central to the business, and it is reflected in their existing policy on conservation and community engagement. Takims joined The Long Run to formalise that programme, add structure, and build impact reporting that aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and emerging ESG requirements. Their aim is for every initiative to deliver measurable, lasting benefits for wildlife, local communities and the wider tourism ecosystem.
